Dove Crème Mousse Body Wash Review

Dia daoibh!

When it comes to body washes I usually use two when I shower! As odd as that sounds, I have a reason for it! The skin on my arms is sensitive. If I use a very chemically or perfumed product I'm left with red patches all over my arms, and they tend to dry out too. Therefore I use sensitive, non scented products on my arms. But I like smelling nice after a shower, what's the point in a shower otherwise; hence the second product which I use on the rest of my body so I leave the shower smelling luuuvlay!!

I was recently sent the brand new Dove Crème Mousse Deeply Nourishing Body Wash to try out and here are my thoughts.

Packaging, standard as far as body washes go, nothing exciting but it is simple and clean looking.

It claims to have "rich and creamy nourishment" for your skin. As you can see there is also a sticker on top claiming visible skin improvement. It also has "nutrium moisture". I wasn't interested in any of this. A lot of companies claim various wonders about the product but I just like to form my own opinions, so here they are!

Overall it's a nice product, nothing amazing  I don't agree that's it's a mousse though. When squirted out it looks just like any other thick body wash. As I just said, it is thick so I couldn't understand how they called it a mousse. To me a mousse is a light whipped, bubbly, frothy substance and this was the opposite.

Then I thought perhaps when it's lathered up it might become more moussey? Nope, again it's just the same as any other body wash; which isn't a bad things, but in my opinion it's not what it says on the tin.

In saying all this though, it does smell divine! Like really fab. It's quite similar to my >NUXE Aroma-Perfection Unclogging Thermo-Active Mask< A mix of fresh/herbal/floral scents. I really love it. The smell doesn't linger long on the skin but it's nice to use in the shower.

I haven't used it long enough to notice if it is really moisturising my skin, but to be honest I rely on oils, moisturisers etc after a shower to moisturise my skin. I do like Dove as a bodywash brand though and it has never been very drying on my skin.

Dove Crème Mousse Deeply Nourishing Body Wash has a RRP of  €4.06 but as usual prices will vary depending on where you purchase it. It will be available in lots of the usual various chemists and supermarkets.

What are your thoughts on body washes? Do you have a favourite and what's the reason? Let me know!

The above product was sent to me for free from the Dove PR Team for reviewing purposes. All opinions above are completely my own, 100% honest thoughts on the products.

I'm not a huge fan of body washes, they always feel more like lotions to me! I do love Dove products though so may give this one a shot, cheers for a great review!
